MANMZEL

In June 2003, with their common passion and love of music the Laraque sisters wanted to introduce an all- new female movement to cross worldwide in the music industry. Nayalie and Rachelle are the daughters of the famous guitarist Michel Laraque and the nieces of the legendary “ Toto Laraque ”. Therefore, They got together with some other talented female musicians from various backgrounds to form the band “MANMZEL”.

To even say that they strictly play Kompa would be an understatement. Their songs do have a solid foundation of Kompa that delve into other types of music such as R & B, Zouk, Salsa and Rock n’ Roll.

With their unique style and versatility, MANMZEL will appeal to different types of market in the music industry. What makes this band stands out the most is that all their songs are written and produced by them.

The group is currently in studio adding the final touches on their first album, which will be released by the beginning of December 2004. Their grand premiere will be held in New York City at SOB’s on December 23, 2004 and in Miami at the famous MARLIN’s in South Beach, Collins Avenue & 12 street, on December 25, 2004.
